Therapy for Perinatal Mental Health
Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are our specialty!
Sometimes things don’t feel right after having a baby.
In fact, lots of people experience anxiety or depression after having a baby. Whether you’re the gestational parent or a non-birthing partner, you may feel your emotions are not what you expect them to be. The first two weeks after birth may bring moods called “the baby blues”. The baby blues usually disappear after two weeks and are not of clinical concern. When the baby blues don’t go away, it’s time to get some help. Postpartum mood issues can start any time in the year after giving birth and can affect any parent. Whether it’s anxiety, sadness, irritability, or overwhelm, therapy can help you find yourself and start to feel better.
Our strengths-based, person-centered approach means that we see you as a whole person.
